SWEET DREAMS
My first proper fragmovie! Made from some old clips I recorded 8 months ago which I recently edited together for a fragmovie competition.
Footage was all filmed on "WAIB" servers (unranked, no unlocks, friendly fire on, karkand, 16 size, medic only) where some of the best gamers in Europe play. My ping was often over 100, and FRAPS made it even harder to play!
It was the first time Ive used any video editing software, so some parts didnt come out exactly how I planned! All 3D models and graphics were created from scratch. I know I use the iron sights and go prone too much, but Ive learnt since then! Also, I only used the M16 as USMC as I wanted to improve for matches.

Well, it wasn't exactly all that good. Sort of missing a theme and story line. I'm sure you'll get better though if you stay at it.
I haven't had a chance to see it. I'll take a look tomorrow.

A theme and story line?! Its a fragmovie! Its just footage of kills edited together. Ive had pretty good feedback other people, sorry you didnt like it - do you have any constructive criticism other than it just wasnt good? Have you made any movies yourself or have any examples of ones you do like? Thanks.

Random shots doesn't create interest. A theme or story line does. Try cutting out some off the random shooting thing and adding a story line that people can get behind. Sort of the lead in, followed by a tough fight, and the hero saves the day. Fighting music for each stage. Apprehensive about having to go into combat. An enemy that's no push-over, followed by a triumphant, but subdued victory. Not that you would use it, but if you get a chance listen to O Fortuna.

Thanks for the feedback. Though what you are referring to is known as "Machinima". Which you need to storyboard and write scripts for, and every fight is staged. Its a long process and doesnt really require any gaming skill. Thats why I and many people just prefer normal fragmovies, which feature some impressive kills and editing.
