A new Battletech mod is being developed for BF2142 and NS.Some of the the modals have already been done,ie.Timberwolf,shadowcat with afew others,also titans have been replaced with overlord drop ships each having 6 battlemech launch bays.

Here is the latest news on the mod,plus a little bit on future patches.Also there is a fix in the works for vista and xp users and the mod will be available on a dvd disc.

Ok Folks,

The time has come for all of those whom have been good to get a smokin hot copy of BMH! I have split the client into to downlaodable packages. One is a Self installer geared for BF2142 Deluxe, that contains the BMH Base Default Client ( Steiner Faction Pack ), and a Winzip self extracting exe that contains the levle folder from the mod pack. We will have the files ready for you to log in and access around noon EST Today, 1/11/2009. When we are ready to open the download portel I will post the the link in the alpha section of the boards along with a username and password.

If you havent already stoped by mektek and read the news over there I will take a moment and explain to you excatly ware we stand. Once you install the client you will have the base files to connect to the BMH test servers, yes we have taken both servers down changed the Rank Server ALPHA over to a UNRANKED BMH SERVER.BMH SERVER BETA will be brought back on line some time late sunday 1/11/2009 and will make room for more testers to join in the action. Once you down load the base client you will be able to log into either of the servers with any of your existing soldiers and play as long as you want to. We are going to restrict game play to our own maps 3 rounds per , 200 tickets per ,FF off. This will make for fast game play but allow you all to look for problems with the existing client. This week we will be making some changes to some of the weapon groupings on the server and tweaking things per.We will anounce when we start to tweak and at that time will ask you to start reporting bugs as you see them via the bug reporter on the main web site.Make sure you fill in the form completly. Also before reporting make sure you can duplacate the problem so we know it is not an isolated thing.

Now to explain what you will see when you log in. When you fire up the program for the first time you will find many things have changed and other are still there, they been just cleaned up and look more apleaing. You going to see new menu boxes and back grounds along with new ranks, and other faction replated items as well. I m now working on assembling the other 6 coustom faction installers so you will be able to chose what faction you wish to represent. In a later release version you will be able to install this right from the orignal installer with out having to download any extra files, as for now we will use these packs till we have all the packs 1000% ready.

When you join the server for the first time you will find that every thing more or less looks the same. but once you start to play with the vehicles, especaily the walker you will find out that things have changed. You will find Jumpjets, ejection cockpits, new types of weapons, and you will find that the walkersa have LOTS of weapons on hand now not just 2. Some of the things are loaded just to fill slots for testing and are a little strange and will not be apart of the final relase. for the next 14 days you all will have time to get things installed and set up client wise. On friday 1/23/09 we will pull both servers and lock them down. At this time we will up date the servers to BMHv.02a once the servers have been up dated and restarted we will bring them back up on line and on 1/24/09 we will again post the URL with the userman and password for you to download the patch.

The.02a content patch will be the first of many BI-WEEKLY patches that will continue till we have achived the amount of content we intend on adding to the BMH Mod. Our first content patch will include:

Swift Aero Fighter/bomber

Stuka Aero Fighter
Zero Light Bomber
Packratt APC
Heavy LRM Carrier
Condor Heavy Hover Tank
Savannah Light Hover Tank
ARROW IV Flip Front Turret

Calliope Turret
Union Class Drop Ship & Landing Pad
6 bay mech hanger with retractable doors
Other MW/BT Style Buildings

As you can see this patch will be a large content push. along with this new content will come the offical start of Bug Hunting, and then we will need all of you to really pay attention to details and report your findings to us so we can correct the boo boos with the next patch while still adding in more content.

I want to thank all of you for beliveing in us and hanging in there while we recovered from our loss.
