7·?;|? has puzzled me consistently throughout my gaming years "Why do people cheat"
They can not ever say that any kill they have achieved is legitimate and through their own skill. They BUY cheats (which in turn proves that they are being taken advantage of anyway) by what I have seen some people make a very good living from ruining other peoples leisure time and to produce cheats before a new game hits the shelves amazes me. They have to be very adapt programmers with a sadistic streak.
To actually to join a game knowing that you can defeat anything thrown at you must defeat the object of playing in the first place...its pointless and what is even more pointless is the fact that these cretins could be good players in their own right if they just tried.
What actually motivates someone to cheat, thats the key question.
Personally I win or lose and if its a team game I love it. Take last night for instance some of PC were playing in a game and we got beat BUT the PC squad excelled in its teamwork and for much of the game kept our team afloat...thats a game and an experience they can never have and that is a sad thing in its own right.
In the past in single player games I have used walkthroughs but have not actually
cheated by unlimited ammo etc, once someone showed me unlimited ammo in doom (the original) within 5 minutes I was bored shitless as their was nothing to achieve.
Someone showed me a site where you can buy them and bugger me its like a shop, very professional indeed so all I can say to any cheat who reads this is "Son, you are being cheated youself. Of fun and enjoyment and the guy doing it is laughing in your face at you."

After reading many articales and doign soem research,
apparantley your accoutn name and password is always asked when you "load" the hack(s).

Doesn't this just seem a little odd?

Why would a hack or cheat need your password, its running on the clients side to give them an advantage. So asking for your password is obviously not good.

Many of these sites (especially MSXSecurity which is the most popular one) have spyware which submits your account details to the site owner, whoever that is.

These people make money from you no matter what!

Plus thanks to punkbuster these people can get away with it and can ruin any game in seconds.

Although it is now obvious that some people do cheat, it is something that we all have to live with and I believe true teamwork will beat any cheat no matter how good. Hopefully cheats are loners, doing their sad little thing when they can.
I dont do leagues no more either as I have found some of these players are so highly skilled that your average player doesent stand a cat in hells chance. Basically you have catagories of players
a) The cheating scumbag
b) The average gamers from noobs to adequate players
c) The true vets, people who are so honed to league play that they wouldnt be seen dead with an average player. Their reactions are so fast that sometimes these players are wrongly accussed of cheating. Although when you see guys with 60 kills and 1 death it does make one think I must admit
