I would like to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and hope that the upcoming year brings all you could ever hope for.
As you sit down to carve the tradional turkey I ask you to spare a moment and a prayer for all those servicemen and women currently serving in war zones.
They do not necessarily agree with their governments policies but are there to uphold them.
Many American and British soldiers families will be sitting down just as you are but without their sons or daughters for the first time so a small moment of your time is little to ask on this traditionally joyous day.
God bless you all and once again
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse my ignorance but I thought Thanksgiving was an American event.
For those Americans I fight with, I hope you have a very auspicious time. A time for family, giving, remembrance, prayer and thanks.
Deep down I am grateful for all the sacrifices our and yours unsung hereos give to make our lives safer, better etc...........
Being English, well I guess I will just have to wait till Christmas to show my appreciation to family, friends and all those that put others before themselves.
UNtil then .... CHEERS

Thank you

It may be American but anything nowadays that is capable of bringing people closer together is a good thing but I must admit nothing beats a good old english sunday xmas dinner with roast and boiled spuds (not instant ones). At least 2 veg (I like peas, sprouts and cauliflower if I can) Yorkshire pudding and alot of meat with proper gravy followed by a nice and large pudding
After which I can sit back and watch the telly for a few hours, eating lots of choccies and enjoying that "OMG I ate to much and i will have another sweet thank you"
I used to be a Roses chocolates fan but since they changed the box contents I have moved my attention to quality street
