whenever i go into BF2 servers i always get this and then i get kicked for high ping does anyone know how i can repair it?

There could be a number of reasons for this to happen, which I will try to cover below.

1: Spyware, simplest to remedy by using Lavasoft AD-Aware SE Personal version to remove cookies from computer.

2: Background Programs ; to many running in background, what you need to do is disable those by typing in MSCONFIG in the Run box and then go to Start-Up. There you need disable certain programs that run in the background automatically when computer is booted up. Make sure you leave all Microsoft and your Anti-Virus/firewallprogram running. If you need help, ask me.

3: PunkBuster ; make sure you have latest version of this. If you have not downloaded PBSETUP.EXE, you should. Save to to new folder named BF2. BF2 is looking for latest PunkBuster files on your computer (also leave pnkbstra A & B in background Start-Up programs of your Task Manager). Check previous Thread on Updating PunkBuster in Tech forum board.

4: Defrag you Computer at least Twice a week and run the Error-Checking from your C:\Drive Properties Tools section (You can get there my right Clicking the C:\Drive and then picking Properties, Once there select Tools). This can only be run when computer is Booting Up and you pick the Top box.

5: Random Connection Problems ; Some BF2 Servers have certain Ping limit on how High you are allow to have to play on there servers. Plus a while back I was getting that same message you are now getting.. But I kept on trying to connect to the Server (PC Server), which I figure was due to the route my ISP was taking me to the server or it was heavily congested at the time. By doing the First Four steps you will find that your computer will Boot Up faster and run better.

Make sure Xfire is not downloading that will seroisly lag you up.
