Below is where you need to go to Disable the Movies when you start BF2, SF and BF2142.
Follow below instructions for each game.
You need to go to this location for BF2 > C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies. Then rename the 7 files in that section by putting a Number before or after what is already there.
Location for SF > C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\movies. There is only 4 files you need to rename, like you did for BF2 above.
Location for BF2142 > C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Movies. There you need to do as you have done in BF2 & SF, but you only need to do it to 5 files. Leave "titan_tutorial.bik" alone. It does not be need to be changed.
Hope this helps you all out. :D

i want to add something here :)
about the BF2 movie part ..
i know that you can change everything..except for 1 file..and that is the "welcome" file ..
i read something on the BF2s.com forums that Punkbuster wouldn't be that happy if you change the welcome file .. so you want to leave that file unchanged ..
and for the other 6 .bik files you can change the ".bik" file into ".bikky" or something like that.. and that works big time :D
and for your special forces game, you can also go to
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\Xpack\movies and also leave there the "welcome" file unchanged

tip 6 ..
Disable the intro movies
How does this work?
The intro movies in Battlefield 2 are cool the first time you watch them, but become very tedious after the hundredth time. The files also total up to about 250mb of memory. Loading these annoying battlefield 2 videos into the ram every time can seriously affect performance. To disable (NOT remove) these movies, follow the steps below, it's really very simple, you don't even have to go into the registry!
How do you do it?
Step 1: Navigate to your Battlefield 2 folder (default: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2)
Step 2: Click on Mods then bf2 then Movies
Step 3: Right Click on each file and click Rename, then rename it to anything you want, as you can see below, I mainly just added "ky" to the extension. I reccomened that you dont rename the folder, as this can cause issues with punkbuster. I also suggest you keep welcome.bik intact, for the same reason.
BEFORE RENAMING:

AFTER RENAMING:

If anything goes wrong, just rename them back to what they were.
there are also other tips for lag reduction on BF2s.com

i hope i add something usefull here..because nobody want trouble with punkbuster ^^
greetings mark
edit.. LOL..i saw that it was a very old topic haha ..sorry for that.. but the information is still usefull
Standard convention is to add .bak to a file extension (or .old) in order to keep the filename as it is originally. For example, Dice.bik => Dice.bik.old or Dice.bik.bak. The idea is that if you want to revert to the original, you have a uniform convention to follow so that you won't forget the exact filename. It may seem strange to have two dots in a filename but it does help to preserve the original.

I think this way is more easier. First you have to go to your main Battlefield 2 shortcut you use to launch the game, right-click on it and select Properties. Then in the Target box, after the "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" for example put this commands +restart 1 +fullscreen 1
Note. insert another space, then use any of the commands below. Each command must have a single space between it and the next command.
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart 1 +fullscreen 1
The following are the known command line commands for BF2:
+playerName - your login id exactly
+playerPassword - your password exactly
+fullscreen - Start game in full screen mode
+joinServer - Join a server by IP address or hostname
+restart - skips intro movies
So if you want to skip intro movies and login automatically check this out.
for instance
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart 1 +playerName ManoC21 +playerPassword lol123
and if you want to join Pc server automatically use this
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart 1 +playerName ManoC21 +playerPassword lol123 +joinServer 85.236.101.83:16667
hop it helps

perhaps you can clarify something, for playername. is that WITH or WITHOUT clan tags. and if you need to use clan tags, and you enter player name without, will it auto add them? I could never fig that one out. Nice tips tho, i use +szx and +szy commands to stretch my game to my widescreen monitor. never tried others.
